Tip for the Wise: Air Cans

I'm a little astounded that one of the best pieces of "support" equipment for computers today is the old, trusty air can.

Believe it or not, all that cool "skin cell" evidence we leave behind a la CSI, truly does gunk up the works in ways we can't imagine. An air can can help degunk and prevent overheating and gunked-up keyboards and mice.

Especially with laptops with a huge sink hole of a one-piece keyboard (like my Sony VAIO) I always take time to blow out from right side to left side and go over twice more to make sure. This is never a problem with my MacBook Pro, however (!).

Pet dander and hair, human dander and hair, and god only knows what else seem to be drawn to keyboards with a passion. I usually notice much better keyboard performance as soon as I blow the deposits out.

Now...if only I found a way to make my VAIO not overheat! I always have that effect on my laptops ;)
