So for the past two days my iPhone's iPod's been repeating the first song on my playlists instead of playing the entire playlist. That is, unless I selected next song just as the second run of the first song was starting -- what's good to have a playlist if it keeps playing the first song only?!
What did I press involuntarily to cause this dang loop? Well, this morning I looked up what could have caused the problem and figured it out.
When you select a playlist and the first song begins playing, click on the top portion of the song's cover art, then a little transparent control panel shows up. It has the time elapsed and time remaining on the song, along with a bar moving right-ward to show you the song's progress along that timeline. On the left-hand side of all this timeline, there is a little loop icon - if it's selected, that's the culprit. So once unselected, the playlist plays freely.
I am definitely locking the iPhone touchscreen from now on as soon as I'm done selecting something like a playlist or done calling someone, because I'd hate to accidentally do this again, or worse.
All's well that ends well. ;o)
